Uncommon Solution for Bridgeton Commons

(April 2009) - When Bridgeton Commons contacted ComTec Systems, Inc. to help them develop a security system for their campuses, streets and public gathering locations, ComTec accepted the challenge.

Bridgeton Commons is a multi-site, multi-tenant public housing authority that needed improvements to their campus wide security infrastructure.

The project involved adding wireless connectivity and working within an environment that had no electric or cabling available from the desired camera locations back to the central sight.

Using InVista360’s remarkable proprietary wireless technology, ComTec was able to strategically place cameras and video security devices city wide and have this information transported via microwave across the city to a central command center. This solution enables a single person to monitor the safety and security of thousands of residents through the use of cameras.

“Our staff has the capability to deter violence, vandalism and other illegal behavior with the ability to capture and retrieve high-quality images that can be used to validate these transgressions and to promote peace of mind among Bridgeton Commons’ residents and staff," said Nancy Marconi with the Ingerman Group, real estate development corporation responsible for Bridgeton Commons.

“ComTec’s InVista360 Solution has been designed specifically for housing authorities and municipal agencies,” said Michael Vertolli, President of ComTec Systems, Inc. "The InVista360 Solution provides innovative design and functionality to an existing system while allowing affordable, real-world technology upgrades."
