ComTec makes its mark on the healthcare market….
….addressing the needs of hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations and other healthcare organizations and facilities.
ComTec believes that the staff of a healthcare facility depends on their business communications system, as much as their peers in a hospital rely on their enterprise communication system to keep themselves, patients and physicians in contact with each other.
Healthcare providers need a communications system that delivers robust system features, easy-to-use applications and ultimately supplies cost effective, productivity enhancing benefits.
Another common requirement of healthcare providers is the need for their communications systems to extend seamlessly across diverse healthcare campuses by networking multiple sites into one common system architecture. Integration of voice, data and IP telephony (the transportation of voice communications over Internet Protocol, also known as VoIP) are also key attributes of a well rounded healthcare communication system.
“We recognize that Healthcare providers need an angle to increase the productivity of their staff while enhancing the patient experience,” said Michael Vertolli, President of ComTec Systems.
One such user of this technology is Community Health Care Inc., a major division of South Jersey Healthcare. This organization is a community based medical and dental care provider that has served the area since 1974 and has eight major facilities throughout the South Jersey area. Community Health Care handles over 10,000 patient calls weekly.
When ComTec first engaged with Community Healthcare, they worked closely with the IT staff to determine the needs of this facility. Identifying these needs was a key element in providing them with a viable communication solution. Some of those needs included:
- Creating a centrally managed voice network
- Extending voice communications to remote sites
- Supporting collaborative care planning
- Simplifying facility IT administration
- Distributing clinical data to multiple parties
- Supporting nurse triage agents with skills-based call routing
- Delivering web-based call backs
- Supporting home-based or remote facility agents
Community Healthcare wanted a contact center solution that could assist agents in providing efficient responses to billing questions, facilitate physician referrals, and manage appointment scheduling and cancellations. Community Healthcare recognized that with e-health savvy and internet technology, today's healthcare consumers are more informed then ever before. They understood that healthcare providers must be positioned to support their customers, the patients, with the highest level of service satisfaction.
ComTec worked closely in conjunction with their IT staff to implement the NEC IPS 2000 and NEC Contact Center Solutions that unified their entire facility over their existing WAN. (Wide Area Network). ”As a Primary Care Health Center , the ease of accessibility for our patients is our number one goal . ComTec has an excellent staff of engineers and technicians who designed and implemented a centralized call center system for us that has increased our patient satisfaction. We are now able to make appointments for sites that are as far as 40 miles away. Their customer support representatives are top-notch and very willing to assist us in whatever needs we may have, “ said Tacy Slotter, Director of IT.
ComTec specializes in the needs of medical facilities and services “We understand the needs of this facility, and designing and deploying a technical application involving multiple sites and call centers is our specialty,” remarked Dennis Murphy , Installation Manager of ComTec Systems.
The results of this installation were that Community Healthcare has an entire suite of healthcare specific applications that provide their growing facilities with a single manageable economic solution that has increased patient satisfaction.
