ComTec Systems, Inc. Donates to Local Food Banks

The employees of ComTec Systems, Inc. recently donated 15 boxes of food to local area food banks in hopes that they could make a difference for needy families.

The idea to donate food to charity started when company President Michael Vertolli asked his employees for ideas on promoting teamwork and interaction with one another, outside of the daily business activities. The company decided to get involved in charitable acts and took on a food drive to help those in need during the holidays as their first project.

Anna Spatola, Senior Accounting Administrator, volunteered to coordinate the event. Signs and plastic bins were placed throughout the office and the employees were asked to donate any food they could to the cause. Once the bins had been filled, Anna boxed up the food items and delivered them to the local food banks.

“We as a community have a responsibility to help those that are less fortunate and help contribute to such a great cause,” said Vertolli.
