ComTec Donates to Cumberland County Women's Center

Vineland, NJ -The employees of ComTec Systems, Inc. recently donated a check as well as a variety of food & toiletry items to the Cumberland County Womens Center in hopes that they could make a difference for women and children that are in need.

The idea to donate to local charities began last year when company President Michael Vertolli asked his employees for ideas on promoting teamwork and interaction with one another, outside of their daily business activities. The company decided to enlist the suggestions of the staff for which charity they would most like to donate to. Cumberland County Womens Center is the fourth charity that ComTec Systems has chosen to receive their support.

Jennifer Durham, Executive Sales Administrator, volunteered to coordinate this event. Signs and plastic bins were placed throughout the office and if they were interested in doing so, the employees were asked to donate money or other items from the center's “Wish List.” Once the charity drive was over, Jennifer contacted CCWC and met with staff members to turn over the check and items.

“Choosing a womens shelter was essential to me, having had an Aunt in that same position & in need of assistance many years ago. It was with great pleasure that we were able to donate these items to them and I encourage anyone who is willing and able to support our local womens center or any charity of their choosing,” stated Jennifer.
