24th Annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation Event Scheduled for April 27

TODASTW_logo_largeComTec USA recently registered for and began assembling lesson plans for the 24th annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day (TODASTW) Foundation’s “Count On Me!” Day on Thursday, April 27.  TODASTW is a national, public education program that connects what children learn at school with the actual working world.  ComTec President and CEO Mike Vertolli has again personally invited the ComTec Family to bring their school-age children to ComTec’s Vineland headquarters for this special day of mentoring.

“Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is a family-friendly day to encourage our youth to dream about their work, family, and community lives,” said Vertolli.  “Plus, we’ll share some ideas on how girls and boys can discover the power and possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life.”

Vertolli continued, “This inspiring, informative family event is by far one of our favorites here at ComTec. It’s not only a big boost to employee morale, but it’s wonderful to see the kids’ faces light up when they see what Mom or Dad does.”

The TODASTW theme for 2017, “Count On Me!” (#COUNTONME!), is based on the definition of dependability, and that one can count on someone or something to not let him/her down.  As posted on www.daughtersandsonstowork.org, “This is an invaluable character trait for any workplace to be successful!”

General activities on the day’s agenda include role-playing, hands-on activities, teamwork exercises, problem-solving challenges, and interviews on work-life balance and ComTec’s business operations.
